A Gaditano Farmhouse in front of the Bay
At a time when the typical Cadiz farmhouse is still being transformed into flats for domestic enjoyment, the owner of this house decided to convert an old multi-party house into a luxury single-family house, as when the rich merchants of eighteen sent to build those buildings that today are one of the greatest heritage treasures of the city of Cádiz.
A family house located in the magical surroundings of Alameda Apodaca, full of academic elements and a large terrace. On its centenary walls, the canons of classicism print the entire space.
On the main facade of the building, 2 large balconies and 4 closures face the bay. Inside, original elements are mixed with the new. Some old preserved walls reveal the old brick, along with the new completely smooth walls. The old ceilings and coffered ceilings are preserved as if pieces of a museum were treated and bring even more beauty to the building as a whole.
The lacquered carpentry manufactured by Román Windows & Doors, is of a classic design, replicas of the old building. Highlights include the small arches within the profile, the large shutters and the gallery with large windows that surround the central courtyard that receives light from the zenith.
