About watertightness and insulation:

  • When it rains, does water enter below the flashing of my window or appear damp on the wall?

  • Check the external seal between the frame and the parameters of the work. Then check the condition of the joints between the pieces of wood. If everything is correct, the problem is the waterproofing of the window hollow. To do this you must speak with your builder.

  • Check from the outside that the gasket is not open. You must seal it with neutral silicone or you should call our after-sales service if you are under warranty. These parts are guaranteed for 10 years.

About the glazing:

  • Do my glasses easily condense in winter?

  • Condensation is a phenomenon involving two factors, the temperature of the glazing and the relative humidity of the air. The humidity of the air condenses on cold surfaces, and their relationship is direct. At lower temperature in the glass, less moisture in the air is necessary for condensation to occur. So in a room with 60% relative humidity and a temperature of 21 °, a simple glass will condense when the outside temperature is 8 °, double glazing at -4 ° and double glazing with reinforced thermal insulation at -20 °.
  • How can I change a broken glass in my window?

  • Remove the silicone seals and then carefully remove the inner ring. If you have trouble repairing, you should contact our customer service.
  • Can the glass be repaired?

  • If the glass has been scratched, you can repair it as long as the depth is less than the thickness of a nail. There are products for polishing glass in many hardware stores and DIY centers. Roman W&D is not responsible for damages caused by misuse of these products or other damages that may occur in an attempt to eliminate scratches.
